End goal: OSRS Bond
Free-to-play is something all of us want to get away from. It's just so limiting, and it makes it difiicult to make any sort of decent money and get yourself to a bond. But not to worry, we're here to help! Below you'll find a list of F2P money making methods to help you get started on your way to members on Old School Runescape.
F2P Money Making Guide for Beginners
Looting F2P Worlds
If you've just created an account and have absolutely no stats to work with, then there's no perfect start to building up your bank, than looting the pking world.
Requirements: 7 Quest Points to use Grand Exchange- Romeo and Juliet
- Sheep Sheerer
- Cook's Assistant
- Rune Mysteries
Players here will often leave food, potions, arrrows, and sometimes armour/weapons on the ground after getting their kill. They're not all concerned about the money, as F2P pking doesn't really bring in much money for them anyways. This is where you come in and loot anything and everything on the ground.

Tanning Hides
Requirements:
- 100K Gold OSRS
- Access to the Grand Exchange
This is a very straight forward process. If you have premium membership on our site, then you'll have access to our money making tools, and there you'll find our tanning leather page. Which will automatically show the current price value of each hide, the costs to tan it using the NPC (Ellis) in Al-Kharid, and how much you could expect to sell the item back at the Grand Exchange.
Out of all of the money making methods listed here, this is by far the most convenient and one to give you the least amount of headaches. The gp/hour is good, and you won't be fighting with any bots for resources to make your money.
Telegrabbing Wine of Zamorak - 330k/hour
Requirements:
- Recommended: 37 Magic (Teleport to Falador for banking)
- Recommended: Looting Bag
- 33 Magic
- Staff of Air
- Law runes
- Water runes (if teleporting to Falador)
If you've met the above requirements, you'll want to bring yourself to the Chaos Temple just north of Falador, West of Burthorpe, and just west of the Goblin Village. Once you're here, you'll find a table located at the back of the temple. Simply cast telegrab on the wine of zamorak each time it spawns, but make sure NOT to manually try to pick it up, or else the zamorak followers will attack you.
Alternatively, you can also visit the Chaos Temple in level 38 Wilderness, which is just west of the Lava Maze. The downside here however, is that you're likely to get pk'd and so you'll want to pay attention at all times, and bring very few runes with you; in the event you are killed.
Making Soft Clay
Requirements:
- 100K Gold OSRS
- 12 Buckets or Watering Cans
You can see with the price difference in both clay and soft clay - with quite the margin there. If we take the lowest values from both pictures, that's 53gp profit per soft clay made. While it may not be the best money in the world, it is a change of pace from fighting looting bots in the F2P pking world and at the Chaos Temples.
So, in order to make soft clay, you'll want to fill up your buckets or watering cans with any water source. The fountains located in the Center and East of Varrock work just fine. Once you've filled them up, you simply use the watering cans on the clay itself, and it turns into soft clay. Very easy, but quite tedious.
